Could You Imagine if We Had Cars That Went 100 MPG the Past Century?

Would you find it shocking if I was to tell you that auto manufacturers have had the technology and the ability to make vehicles go 50 miles to the gallon since back in the 1920s and 30s? Well, I found it absolutely shocking when I found this information out myself. Considering they made cars that only got 7 or 8 miles to the gallon! This was an absurd waste of not only people’s hard-earned money but of our natural resources.

These automakers made deals with petroleum companies to make cars that were bad on gas so that Americans would suck through the petroleum. Not worrying about the consequences of tomorrow while fattening their pockets today has led to a horrible consequences for the planet we call home.

Can you imagine technology that would make vehicles go 50 or 100 miles to the gallon? It actually exists and could be applied today. Many countries around the world are demanding that auto manufacturers improve the mileage of their cars over the next few years. For example, in the United States of America cars are supposed to get no less than 50 miles to the gallon by the year 2025. Hybrid cars, electric cars, and other options are being looked into to replace our old outdated fossil-fuel driven lust for destruction.
