We have heard many stories about pets being reunited with their owners, but not many of them are as shocking or touching as the one I’m about to tell you about a dog named Charlie. Charlie is a German Shorthaired Pointer and went missing from his family home in Alabama back in 2006. As days and weeks passed his owner assume that the worst had happened and accepted the fact that he would never see Charlie again.
Luckily Charlie was microchipped and through the diligence of his owner to keep their information updated over the years he will soon be reunited with his family. Ten years later Tracy Dove received a phone call about his beloved dog. He was found in Brewton, which is about 250 miles away from his original home. No one is sure where Charlie has been the last ten years, but we do know that Tracy will be very happy to have him home.
Unfortunately, time has taken a toll on Charlie and when he was located it was also discovered that he had a cancerous tumor in his chest. Thanks to an online fundraising account his surgery will soon be covered and after a short period of recovery time in Mobile Alabama, he will be able to return home once again.
