Ever Wondered What A Serial Killers Last Meal Looked Like?

Photographers have been known to photograph some rather odd things. Photographer Henry Hargreaves has recreated 12 pictures of the last meals eaten by death row prisoners for a series called No Seconds. In this collection, he recreated several different meals in photographs to give us a look into the minds of soon-to-be executed prisoners. Some of the pictures recreated are as follows.

gacy

John Wayne Gacy is a notorious serial killer that was convicted of rape and 33 counts of murder. Before facing lethal injection, he requested a last dinner that included 12 fried shrimp, french fries, 1 pound of strawberries and a bucket of original recipe KFC. Many believe the KFC was to take him back to a previous time in his life when he managed  three different KFC restaurants.

mcveight

Timothy McVeigh is another notorious serial killer that was convicted of 168 counts of murder. Before he was slated for lethal injection, his last meal request was two pints of mint chocolate chip ice cream.

angel

The saddest of all the pictures had to be the meal eaten by Angel Diaz. Angel was convicted of murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery. This prisoner declined a last meal so was ultimately served the regular prison meal. The Prisoner however also declined this, so there was no last official meal and the picture recreated simply shows clean, unused prison utensils and a tray.

victor

Last but not least there was the last meal of Victor Feguer, which was an individual convicted of murder and kidnapping. He was hung in 1963 and asked for his last meal to simply be an olive with a pit still inside as he supposedly thought that it could grow into an olive tree from inside of his body when it was put into the ground and that his body would ultimately be used to make him a symbol of peace. These are just a few of the recreated photos that can be seen in the series. It just goes to show you that despite what these individuals may have done they were just humans like you and me who liked a good meal.
