There Will be A Full Moon On Christmas Day For The First Time In 38 Years

It’s been awhile since we have had a full moon on Christmas Day, 38 years to be exact. The moon will be completely illuminated by the sun at 6:11 a.m. EST on Friday December 25th. At the moment you will see the moon at its brightest point. The next time a full moon will appear on Christmas Day will be in 2034.

Oddly enough the last time this happened was in 1977 when the first star wars movie was released in theaters. This year we will see The Force Awakens in theaters during the full moon Christmas Holiday. Weird…
