This new species of shark is being called by a unique name. That unique name is the Ninja Lanternshark. It’s not every day that you find a new species of shark to begin with but especially not one that looks like this. This shark is an all black shark with a bluish mouth and eyes and is about 18 inches in length. The Ninja Laternshark shark lives deep in the Pacific Ocean. So far it has been found off the coast of Central America.

This shark is entirely black making in very hard to see in the water, especially at night. What makes it even stranger is the Niga Laternshark glows in the dark. Scientists speculate that the shark uses its unique combination of darkness and light when attacking its prey. The ninja lanternshark, however, is not the only oddball in the ocean when it comes to sharks. Just like people, there are several.

For example, look at these guys.
